Overview of patent

 

In some existing headlamp control apparatuses (headlights), it is possible, upon detecting an obstacle ahead of the automobile, to adjust brightness, irradiation direction, and irradiation range of the headlamp to increase the brightness around the detected obstacle; or to control lighting intensity and irradiation distance of the headlamp according  to brightness around the automobile. However, such apparatuses have a risk of dazzling pedestrians, drivers of other vehicles, or the like, around one’s own vehicle.

According to the technique in International Patent Publication No. WO2012/060340 A1, the color of the headlamp can be switched according to a situation around one’s own vehicle, a state of one’s own vehicle, and the like, to thereby make it possible to improve  visibility ahead of one’s own vehicle, and to accentuate presence of one’s own vehicle.

This technique enables driving assistance without dazzling those who are around one’s own vehicle, such as drivers of other vehicles, pedestrians, etc.


We are looking for a company that will consider putting this patent into practical use.
